Welcome to Piódão and to Casa da Padaria!
Inspired by the local architecture, Casa da Padaria (literally, the Bakery House) is located in the Açor mountains in the historic village of Piódão, already dubbed by many as “Christmas Crib Village” due to the disposition of the houses on the hillside.
We follow the recommendations from the Portuguese Health Authority to avoid contamination by SARS-CoV-2 (new coronavirus).
The house seduces, mainly because of the surrounding landscape and the friendly atmosphere that characterizes it.
The project to refurbish the old bakery was completed in late 1998 and has preserved the craft method of construction using natural local materials like wood and slate that covers and insulates the exterior of the house.
